Lincoln Navigator was launched as a full-size Luxury SUV in 1997 as the model year 1998. It was introduced as a counterpart of the Ford Expedition. It’s the first non-limousine Lincoln that offers seating for more than six people. Its manufacturing plant was initially established at Michigan Assembly Plant, in Wayne, Michigan.

However, the production unit was later moved to the Kentucky Truck Plant in Louisville, Kentucky in 2009.

First Generation (1998-2002)

Lincoln Navigator First Generation

It came with an updated rear fascia and a more complex headlight design. A refreshed version was introduced in 2015 with LED daytime running lights, HID headlights, and an updated front grille.
