In 1993, Honda entered the growing SUV market in the United States with its first midsize SUV known as Honda Passport. Honda Passport was a part of Honda and Isuzu’s joint venture in the 1990s. Therefore, Subaru Isuzu Automotive manufactured the first two generations of Honda Passport in Lafayette, Indiana.
