GMC Canyon was launched as a replacement for GMC S-15/Sonoma in 2004. It was offered in three body styles including a 2-door regular cab, 4-door extended cab, and a 4-door crew cab. It’s marketed as Isuzu i-series and Holden Colorado in different markets.

First Generation (2004-2010)
The first generation was available in three body styles including a 2-door regular cab, 4-door extended cab, and 4-door crew cab. It was launched with two engine options including a 2.8L four-cylinder engine and a 3.5L V6 engine. It came standard as a rear-wheel-drive and the four-wheel-drive was also available.
The users could choose between a manual and automatic transmission. It was available in three different trims including Canyon, SLE, and SLT. It came with a range of advanced features such as Leather-trimmed seating surfaces, rear side-impact airbags, and dual power-adjustable front bucket seats.
Second Generation (2011-Present)
The second generation comes with two gas engines including a 2.5L four-cylinder and a 3.6L V6 engine. It’s also available with a 2.8L turbodiesel engine. The gas engines are combined with a 6-speed automatic transmission while the diesel engine comes with 8-speed automatic transmission.
