Daewoo Leganza Brief History

Daewoo Leganza History

Daewoo Leganza, aka Doninvest Kondor, was launched as a midsize car in 1997. The word Leganza is a combination of two Italian words elegante (elegant) and forza (power). It was initially launched with a 2.0L four-cylinder engine that was later replaced by a 2.2L four-cylinder engine in 1999.

It was available as a 5-speed manual and a 4-speed automatic transmission. In 1999, the company started offering a range of features like 15-in alloy wheels, remote central locking, and anti-theft alarm as standard features.

Moreover, a “Limited Edition” variant was introduced in 2001 that came with faux woodgrain trim, leather upholstery, and a power-adjustable driver’s seat. Daewoo Leganza was replaced by Daewoo Magnus in 2002.
