First Generation (1953-1962)

Chevrolet Corvette first generation

The first generation was launched as a 2-door convertible with a 4.34L V8 engine. In 1956, new face and side coves were introduced. In 1957, the company introduced a “Ramjet” fuel injection system. The interior and exterior were once again updated in 1958.

The car received a new steering wheel, bumper exiting exhaust tips, and quad headlamps. In 1962, a 5.36L V8 engine replaced the 4.34L engine.

Second Generation (1963-1967)
