Buick Encore was launched as a subcompact crossover SUV in 2012 as the model year 2013. It’s the first crossover SUV launched by Buick. It’s also called Opel Mokka and Vauxhall Mokka in different markets.

Buick has launched only two generations of Buick Encore since 2012. 

First Generation (2012-2019)

Buick Encore First Generation

It was introduced with four trim levels including Base, Convenience, Leather, and Premium. It came with a 1.4L turbocharged engine combined with a six-speed automatic transmission that could produce 138 horsepower.

A new Sport Touring second-tier model was added to the lineup in 2016. It came with a more powerful engine that could produce 150 horsepower.

A facelift version was introduced in 2017 with revised headlights, LED taillights, and a revised dash and gauge cluster. In 2017, it was available in six trims including Base, Preferred, Sports Touring, Preferred II, Essence, and Premium.

Second Generation (2020-Present)
